CATE BLANCHETT AND ANDREW UPTON – 22 YEARS
Cate Blanchett, an Academy Award-winning Australian actress, has been together with her screenwriter-playwright husband Andrew Upton for close to 22 years now.
The couple has three sons and one adopted daughter, Edith Vivian Patricia. Although it may seem that it was love at first sight for the celebrity couple, Blanchett revealed that they did not lose their hearts to each other at first sight. The initial rancor gradually evolved into a passionate and long-standing relationship.
Blanchett initially thought that Upton was arrogant, and Upton thought that the former was aloof. However, things changed dramatically when the duo kissed for the first time at a poker game. Only three weeks after that, the couple got engaged. Cate and Andrew nicely maintain a work-life balance now and have even made an investment in a production company, Dirty Films.
