JIMMY BUFFETT AND JANE SLAGSVOL – 42 YEARS
Jimmy Buffett, born in 1946, is a multi-talented figure with his repertoire of being known as a singer, songwriter, musician, author, actor, and businessman. He was raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and spent some of his childhood in Mobile, Alabama.
Music became a part of his early life when he became a trombone player in the school band at St. Ignatius School during his grade school years. He began his professional music career in Tennessee in the late 1960s as a country artist.
Aside from this, Jimmy also took up writing which resulted in him penning three number one bestsellers. Not only that, but he has also co-produced two children’s books. In terms of his personal life, Jimmy Buffett had been previously married to Margie Washichek from the years 1969-1972. He then became Jane Slagsvol’s spouse in 1977. Proving that marriages can and do, indeed, stand the test of time, Buffett and Slagsvol have been together for 42 long years and seem to stay together for life. Kudos to them!
